2026 Career Achievement Award

The Aesthetic Foundation Career Achievement Award

The Aesthetic Foundation's Career Achievement Award is an annual award and fundraiser to honor those who have made significant contributions to advancing aesthetic plastic surgery. We are proud to recognize Mark L. Jewell, MD as the 2026 Career Achievement Award recipient.

Dr. Jewell's career has been defined by original research, leadership, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to advancing aesthetic medicine. He's dedicated decades to improving patient outcomes, pioneering new surgical techniques, and raising safety standards - making significant contributions, particularly in the area of breast surgery.

Mark L. Jewell, MD

Mark L. Jewell, MD

A Past President of The Aesthetic Society and recently retired from his private practice in Eugene, OR, Dr. Jewell has authored more than 125 peer-reviewed publications and delivered countless lectures worldwide. His trailblazing work includes introducing a number of "firsts" in surgical approaches, device development, and safety protocols that have since become standard practice. His work has not only shaped the field of aesthetic surgery but also strengthened the culture of patient-centered care.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Jewell has been a consistent champion of The Aesthetic Foundation, most notably through his generous support of the Patient Safety Award, along with his wife, Mary Lind Jewell, RPT. His philanthropy reflects his belief that progress in aesthetics must always begin with protecting and prioritizing patients.

Donations made in honor of Dr. Jewell will benefit The Foundation's most critical areas of need with a focus on patient safety. We invite you to celebrate Dr. Jewell's legacy by helping us reach this year's fundraising goal.
